This isn't your average sightseeing trip; it's a curated mix of culture, nature, food, and local connection that shows you Korea from the inside out.
OVERVIEWDiscover the heart of Korea through art!
An Authentic Itinerary
May 9 - 15, 2027This 7-day journey takes you from the vibrant streets and mountain trails of Seoul to the volcanic landscapes and laid-back island life of Jeju. Hike like a local, taste your way through bustling markets, meet Jeju’s legendary haenyeo, and discover the places and experiences Minsuk loves. Through shared meals, local encounters, and adventures in nature, you’ll experience a side of Korea that goes beyond the usual tourist trail — and make plenty of new memories and friendships along the way.
Itinerary
-
After arriving and settling into the hotel, we’ll come together for our first evening as a group. Meet Minsuk and your fellow travelers over a relaxed welcome dinner, get to know the people you’ll be sharing the week with, and hear a little about what’s waiting for us over the next seven days. It’s the beginning of the trip — and hopefully, some new friendships too.
Meals included: Dinner
-
Step into traditional hanbok and explore the beautiful grounds of Gyeongbokgung Palace before wandering through the historic neighborhoods of Bukchon and Insadong. Explore hidden alleys, traditional architecture, small shops, and galleries, and local tea houses.
As evening arrives, we head to Gwangjang Market. Follow the sounds, smells, and sizzling grills through one of Seoul’s most energetic traditional markets as we eat our way through some of Korea’s favorite local dishes.
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner
-
One of the best things about Seoul is how easily you can escape the skyscrapers and find yourself surrounded by mountains. We’ll start the day with a hike and experience one of Korea’s favorite pastimes while taking in a completely different view of the city.
Afterwards, you can choose to explore Seongsu, one of Seoul’s most creative neighborhoods, filled with cafés, independent shops, pop-ups, and converted industrial spaces. Or simply enjoy some time to yourself!
As the sun begins to set, we’ll meet again by the Han River for a laid-back Korean-style picnic. Food, drinks, river views, and good company, sometimes the simplest moments become the most memorable ones.
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner
-
We leave the energy of Seoul behind and fly south to Jeju Island, where volcanic landscapes, fishing villages, and ocean views set a completely different pace.
Our first stop is the dramatic Seongsan Ilchulbong, one of Jeju’s most iconic volcanic landmarks. We’ll also visit a local haenyeo community and learn about the remarkable women free-divers whose traditions have shaped life on the island for generations.
In the evening, we’ll settle into island life over our first Jeju dinner together.
Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner
-
Today is about experiencing the side of Jeju that exists beyond its famous viewpoints.
Depending on the route and conditions, we’ll explore one of the island’s oreum volcanic cones, coastal paths, or peaceful forest trails. It’s a chance to slow down, breathe in the island air, and see why Jeju’s landscape is such an important part of its identity.
Later, we’ll visit a local tea house before heading out for a very different kind of Jeju evening — drinks, food, conversation, and local atmosphere at a pojangmacha or neighborhood bar.
Less sightseeing, more living like a local.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
-
For our final full day together, we’ll experience something a little more personal.
The day begins with a special signature program inspired by Minsuk’s own interests, experiences, and content, something created specifically for this trip and for the group to experience together.
Later, we’ll explore Jeju’s southern coastline, visiting the dramatic Oedolgae Rock and Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. There may also be the opportunity to try something new with an optional horseback riding experience.
Then it’s time for one final night together. We’ll gather around the table for our farewell dinner and karaoke night, look back on everything we’ve experienced, and celebrate the friendships and memories made along the way.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
-
Our final morning in Jeju is a chance to enjoy one last slow start before checking out.
After a week of Seoul streets, mountain trails, market food, volcanic landscapes, ocean views, and shared meals, we’ll make our way to Jeju Airport and officially bring our journey to a close.
You might arrive as a group of strangers, but hopefully, you’ll leave with new friends, plenty of stories, and a side of Korea you’ll want to come back to.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
