OVERVIEWA Captivating Experience
from Seoul to Jeju
An Authentic Itinerary
Goodmate Travel meticulously crafted this itinerary in collaboration with Kenji (@kenjikundesu), prioritizing genuine encounter and dedicating countless hours to ensure authentic local experiences. We will guide you through the paths less traveled, offering a true taste of local life.
Itinerary
-
Your K-drama journey begins in Seoul!
After arriving and checking into the hotel, take some time to settle in and recover from your journey. In the evening, we’ll come together for our welcome orientation and dinner, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and get a first taste of the week ahead.
Over a shared Korean meal, we’ll get to know one another, talk about our favorite dramas, and set the scene for seven days of filming locations, Korean culture, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of moments that feel straight out of a K-drama.
Meals included: Dinner
-
Today, we step into the Seoul of historical romances, palace courtyards, and some of the city’s most recognizable K-drama backdrops.
We’ll begin by dressing in traditional hanbok before exploring Gyeongbokgung Palace, a setting that has appeared in Goblin, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, and numerous historical dramas. Surrounded by grand palace halls and mountain views, it’s an easy place to imagine yourself inside a sageuk (Historical Drama).
After lunch, we’ll experience Seoul through the screen on Goodmate’s K-Drama Walking Tour. From the romantic Deoksugung Stone Wall Road and Jeongdong-gil to Gwanghwamun Square and Cheonggyecheon Stream, we’ll connect familiar scenes from dramas such as Can This Love Be Translated?, Goblin, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo with the real stories and neighborhoods behind them.
We’ll have some free time to wander Insadong before finishing the day at Gwangjang Market, tasting our way through one of Seoul’s most iconic food markets.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
If you’ve ever wanted to step into the world of Lovely Runner, today is the day.
We’ll travel to Suwon to visit some of the drama’s most memorable filming locations, including the neighborhood around Im Sol and Sun-jae’s homes. Along the way, we’ll explore Suwon’s historic streets, Paldalmun Gate, and Hwaseong Fortress — locations that have also appeared across Korean dramas including Twenty-Five Twenty-One and Love Alarm.
After lunch, we’ll return to Seoul for some time to rest before meeting again in the evening.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll head to the Han River for a classic Seoul picnic. With Korean fried chicken, ramyeon, and the city skyline around us, it’s one of those simple experiences that appears again and again in K-dramas — and feels just as special in real life.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
We leave the city behind today and fly to Jeju, where our K-drama story takes on an entirely different atmosphere.
After arriving and enjoying lunch, we’ll begin exploring the eastern side of the island, including locations connected to Welcome to Samdal-ri. Rather than simply visiting filming spots, today is about experiencing the Jeju that makes dramas set here feel so distinctive — quiet villages, volcanic landscapes, coastal roads, and communities deeply connected to the sea.
We’ll continue to Seongsan Ilchulbong, one of Jeju’s most iconic natural landmarks, before meeting members of Jeju’s legendary haenyeo community and learning about the generations of women who have made their living diving in the island’s waters.
We’ll end our first day in Jeju with dinner together and settle into the slower rhythm of island life.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
Today is about discovering the quieter, everyday side of Jeju — the landscapes, traditions, and small experiences that give the island its unique character.
We’ll begin at Cheonjiyeon Waterfall before visiting Seongeup Folk Village, where traditional stone homes and village life offer a glimpse into Jeju’s past.
After lunch, we’ll trade sightseeing for nature as we walk through Meochewat Forest Trail. Surrounded by dense greenery and peaceful forest paths, we’ll slow down and enjoy a foot bath experience before continuing to Seogwidawon for a relaxing introduction to Jeju tea.
In the evening, we’ll visit Seogwipo Olle Market, where you’ll have time to wander, browse local specialties, and experience the casual atmosphere of a local Jeju market before dinner.
It’s a slower day designed to let you experience Jeju rather than simply see it.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
Our final full day in Jeju brings together some of the island’s most beautiful landscapes with a little time to slow down and reflect.
We’ll begin at the dramatic Jusangjeolli Cliffs before visiting the Kim Tschang-Yeul Museum of Art. After lunch, we’ll head to Geumneung Beach for some time by the sea, followed by a peaceful visit to Gwaneumsa Temple beneath Hallasan.
After checking into our hotel in Jeju City, we’ll come together for a special farewell dinner, celebrating the places we’ve discovered and the memories we’ve made throughout the week.
And because no trip to Korea is complete without noraebang, we’ll finish the night with Korean karaoke. Think of it as our own Our Blues moment — a drama rooted in Jeju that celebrates friendship, community, and the messy, meaningful moments of everyday life. One last night to sing, laugh, and enjoy being together before our journey comes to an end.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
Every good K-drama eventually reaches its final episode.
Before saying goodbye to Jeju, we’ll make one last stop along the coast at Dodubong and the colorful Rainbow Coastal Road. With the ocean beside us and planes flying overhead toward Jeju Airport, it’s a fitting place for a final group walk, photos, and one last look at the island.
After lunch, we’ll transfer to Jeju Airport, where our journey together comes to an end.
Over the past seven days, we haven’t just visited K-drama filming locations — we’ve experienced the history, food, neighborhoods, landscapes, and everyday moments that inspire the stories we love.
And just like any good drama, hopefully you’ll leave with a few unforgettable scenes of your own.
