Korea’s West Coast Food Tour
Goodmate ORIGINALTravel the local way
Trade the Seoul checklist for a coastline most travelers never see. This 3-day small-group tour takes you two hours west to Boryeong. Wander the market stalls, tour the only brewery in town, dig your own clams straight out of the mud, and turn them into the noodles you eat for lunch. It's a trip built around good food, good people, and a coast that's easy to fall for.

OVERVIEWMeals worth the drive:
Dig in on Korea’s West Coast
An Unique Itinenary
SEP to NOV 2026Two hours west of Seoul is a coastline that rarely makes it onto a traveler's map, and it's where a good chunk of Seoul's seafood actually comes from. Over three days, you'll graze a market that's been open since 1929, tour the only brewery in town with the local who brews it, and sit down to a shellfish tower by the beach as the sun goes down. Somewhere in the middle, you'll dig your own clams and turn them into the noodles you eat for lunch, just to understand exactly where the meal started. It's a trip built around good food, good people, and a coast that's easy to fall for.
Itinerary
-
Leave Seoul in the morning and stop for coffee at a working dairy farm before rolling into Boryeong Jungang Market, a market that's been open since 1929. Graze your way through seaweed, rice cakes, salted shrimp, and stir-fried blood sausage, one stall at a time. In the afternoon, tour Daecheon Brewery with the head brewer for a tank-to-glass pour and a three-beer tasting flight, then check in to an oceanview hotel one minute from the beach. Dinner is a four-tier shellfish tower, grilled beachside as the sun goes down.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
-
Start at the local fish market before crossing to Wonsan Island through the Boryeong Undersea Tunnel, the longest in Asia. At low tide, gather short-neck clams on the mud flats with boots, gloves, and a basket in hand, then head to the village hall to knead, roll, and slice your own kalguksu noodles, simmered in broth made from the clams you just carried in. After lunch with the village elders, stop by an island café before an evening pairing dinner and a private noraebang session back at the hotel.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
-
A slow final breakfast by the beach before checkout, then a relaxed drive back to Seoul. No rushing, no last-minute stop. Just enough time to let the last two days settle in before you're dropped back in the city.
